PreTect SEE is an assay for the qualitative detection of the presence of Human Papillomavirus (HPV) E6/E7 oncogene mRNA from carcinogenic HPV types 16, 18 and 45. ISC (intrinsic sample control) is included in order to assess specimen quality and reveal possible factors that may inhibit the amplification. The kit is based on real-time NASBA technology combining nucleic acid amplification and homogenous detection with Molecular Beacon probes. The test will be used by professionals in order to identify pre-cancer or cancer related to the carcinogenic HPV types included and is a valuable tool for identifying women in risk of having or developing cancer. PreTect SEE is ideal as a quality control test for NILM cytology.

Please note that Isolation Reagents for Nucleic acids are not included in the kit. RNA (or total nucleic acids) from the collected samples have to be isolated prior to analysis. PreTect X and PreTect X Lysis Buffer are validated against this assay.
